HIGHLIGHTS
Yee recently completed her degree at Georgia Tech, and was named a top three finalist for the 2010 NCAA Player of the Year Award and was named the 2010 ACC Player of the Year. She was the top hitter in the NCAA this season, reaching base safely in all 62 games she played. She led the nation in batting average (.538), slugging percentage (1.270), on-base percentage (.732), runs scored (93) and walks (88). She was also tied for first with 29 homeruns. Yee has developed into one of Canada most feared hitters since the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, where she led Canada with a .348 batting average, one homerun and five RBIs in eight games played.
PERSONAL
Yee started playing softball at the young age of 6. She was the homerun derby winner at the 2004 and 2005 Canada Cup Futures tournament. She was a gold medalist at the 2005 Canada Summer Games and the Western Canada Summer Games. She also captured three silver medals at the provincial Championships in 2001, 2003 and 2005, and helped Canada win a gold medal at the 2007 Universiade.
