HIGHLIGHTS
Salling had a solid Junior season with the University of Washington Huskies in 2010, which led to her nomination as a Top 25 Finalist for the NCAA Player of the Year award. After playing one season at the University of Oregon in 2007, Salling redshirted the 2008 season to play on the Canadian Olympic Team and later transferred to Washington, playing with Team Canada teammate Danielle Lawrie in both 2009 and 2010. This season, she was second on the team with a .346 batting average, and also led the team with a .473 on-base percentage, 38 walks, four triples and 50 runs scored.
PERSONAL
Salling was named the top defensive player in her junior and senior basketball season in high school as well as top offensive volleyball player in 2005. She was also named MVP for both her basketball and volleyball teams.
