Who most influence your softball career: My dad was my first tball coach when I was five years old. Since then he's been such a source of encouragement. He loves the game and it's definitely rubbed off on me.

Most Memorable Softball Experience: Beating Japan in extra innings to claim gold at the 2008 Australian International Invitational.
Most Memorable Canada Cup experience: Playing in the final of the Canada Cup in 2006 against Australia. The fan support was overwhelming. We came back door through the playoff bracket and beat some quality teams to earn a spot in the final.
What does it mean to Play in the Canada Cup?: Canada Cup is our team's favourite tournament of the year. To play in front of our fans is an incredible experience. Softball City is like a second home away from home for me, having played my collegiate career at SFU. I love the atmosphere of the tournament, the fans and of course the volunteers. It's the best tournament every year!

HUMAN INTEREST
HIGHLIGHTS In 2005, McLean was awarded the Simon Fraser University (SFU) Hero Among Us Award. She is a member of the SFU team who won gold at the NAIA Nationals in 2003 and 2005 as well as a silver medal in 2004. She was named to the NAIA Region 1 All Region Team in 2007 and also received an NAIA All American honorable mention.
PERSONAL At age 14, McLean suffered severe knee damage and had to cease her softball activities. McLean underwent 2 knee surgeries and intensive rehab. Six months after the injury, McLean returned to softball and started posting impressive statistics.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION McLean's most memorable softball moment was winning the NAIA national championship with SFU in 2005. She enjoys watching Grey’s Anatomy and listening to the Dixie Chicks.
