HIGHLIGHTS
A pre-med student at Fresno State University, Mackin is only the second player in the Western Atlantic Conference (WAC) history to be named Pitcher and Freshman of the year when she did it in 2005-2006. Last season, she earned 35 victories on the mound (3rd in NCAA), and was named to the All-WAC First Team. At the Canadian Championships, Mackin is a two-time national champion (2003 & 2004) three-time silver medalist (2000 - 2002) and a two time MVP (2001 & 2003) as well as a two time Pitcher of the Year for Ontario. Mackin also earned a silver medal at the 2005 Canada Summer Games.
PERSONAL
Mackin loves giving back to the game of softball by motivating young players through clinics. She was recruited by Hawaii, Stanford, Winthrop, Princeton, Georgia Southern, College of Charleston, Florida International and Fresno State. She captained her high school hockey team and also played basketball and flag football.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
Mackin, who aspires to attend Medical School to specialize in Pediatrics, enjoys hockey and watching Grey's Anatomy. Her favorite athlete is Paul Kariya. |
