HUMAN INTEREST

HIGHLIGHTS
Lawrick overcame a season ending knee injury to participate in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, and was healthy during her second appearance at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. She was co-captain for the University of Nebraska Huskers in 2004 and 2005, co-Offensive Player of the Year in 2005 and was also named to the All-Midwest Regional First Team. At the National level, Lawrick was honoured with the top hitter award at the 2002 Canadian Midget Girls Championships and at the 1999 Western Canada Summer Games. She was also the Female Athlete of the Year for the Alberta Minor Softball Association in 2000.

PERSONAL
Lawrick received a softball scholarship to the University of Nebraska in 2001, and graduated in 2005. She was also a provincial and Canadian Champion in the sport of ringette in 2000 and 2001.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
Lawrick, who graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Child Development, would like to pursue her softball career as a collegiate softball coach, and has been a volunteer coach under former National Team Head Coach Lori Sippel at Nebraska since 2009.
