The ODC and the Softball Canada Equipment & Technical Standard Committee have approved the use of the Easton Rapture Lacrosse helmet complete with mask for use by a defensive player in any softball game.

To all concerned the Softball Canada Technical and Equipment Standards Committee and the ODC have approved the above piece of equipment for use by a defensive player.
The request came from a player who sustained a head injury due to a batted ball.
This helmet will provide the necessary protection for the athlete to continue playing. The helmet meets all the safety standards of our batting helmets and defensive helmets and masks used currently by many players.
