Rule: Yes the Softball Canada Board approved the use of bat warmers this year. These products keep composite bats warm so the bats do not crack in colder temperatures. The bat warmer does not alter the characteristics of a composite bat and now is approved by Softball Canada. One of the brand names is Pyro-Flite Microwavable Bat Warmer. ASA did testing and the warmer has no affect on the bat. Bats placed on top of dugouts in the sun get hotter than the bat warmer.
