Question: Do shoes or cleats have to be the same colour on the field at a Canadian Championship?

Answer: NO. Shoes are not part of the uniform. Rule 3-5 lays out the criteria for shoes. There is no reference to the colour of a shoe or that all members must wear the same type of shoe in Rule 3-8 which is the uniform rule.

Rule 3-8 stipulates the the uniform must be alike in trim,colour.......etc.
The uniform is the only part of Rule 3 that must be alike. Undershirts, sliding pants, caps, visors or headbands are all part of Rule 3-8 so those items must conform Rule 3-8. Any other equipment does not have to be alike unless it specifically mentions it in the rules.

For example in Rule 3-8 it says a defensive player may wear a helmet the identical colour as the team hat . Interesting is the team batting helmets do not have to be colour co-ordinated with uniforms but the defensive helmet does.
