The Canadian Women's National Team competed at the ISF XIV Women's World Championship in Haarlem, Netherlands last month, finishing in fourth place.




Softball Canada is pleased to announce the list of athletes who have been named to the 2015 Women’s National Team Athlete Pool. The coaching staff will select twenty-six (26) athletes from the Women’s National Team Athlete Pool to attend a Pan American Games Selection Camp in Florida in December.




Softball Canada is pleased to announce the list of players who will represent Canada as members of the Men’s National Team to compete at the Pan American Softball Championship from October 24 to November 1, 2014 in Parana, Argentina. The final roster was determined based on performance at a Men’s National Team training camp held in Ontario in May, the recently completed Senior Men’s Canadian Championship in Charlottetown and other major competitions.




Each month, Softball Canada will feature two products from Rawlings, Miken or Worth in Around the Horn. The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is pleased to announce that the award-winning Making Head Way in Sport eLearning module is now available at no charge to coaches across the country! This online concussion eLearning module is a valuable resource for coaches and parents alike, and is available through The Locker. Learn more about it here. Click on the “Sport (Generic)” version. By taking this online course, you will gain points towards your maintenance of your NCCP certification.




As of April 1, 2014, the Coaching Association of Canada will charge a fee to take the online evaluations for Make Ethical Decisions, Managing Conflict and Leading Drug-free Sport if the coach has not previously taken the training for that module.




The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) proudly announced the amalgamation of Coaches of Canada and the CAC at Partners Day on June 4, 2014. Effective immediately, the Coaching Association of Canada has moved away from grouping Competition-Introduction Modules into Part A workshops (Making Ethical Decisions, Planning a Practice and Nutrition modules) and Part B workshops (Design a Basic Sport Program, Teaching & Learning and Basic Mental Skills modules).
