The second set of identification camps for the Junior and Senior Women's National Team will take place in Cloverdale, BC this week.

The second of three regional camps will be held June 27-28 in Cloverdale, British Columbia. The purpose of this camp is to identify athletes who are interested in representing Canada on Softball Canada's Junior Women’s National team in 2015.

The Junior Women's National Team Identification Camp will begin on Thursday, June 26th at Cloverdale Athletic Park in Cloverdale, BC and is only open to players who have REGISTERED for the camp. Pitchers and catchers will arrive at 4:00pm while position players will arrive at 4:30pm. Pitchers and catchers will warm up and complete position-specific testing while other athletes are arriving. It will be a long afternoon/evening, with intra squad games scheduled to end around 10:00pm. There is no scheduled dinner break so it is recommended that you come prepared with snacks and lots of water to get you through the day. Also, please make sure you are prepared for the weather.

Day 2 will beging at 8:45am and will consist of intra squad games, fitness testing, and hitting workouts. A lunch break has been scheduled and the snack shack will have food for purchase or you can pack a lunch. This second day is scheduled to end late in the evening.

(Athletes Born 1995 or Before)

The second of two regional camps will be held June 25-28 in Cloverdale, British Columbia. The purpose of this camp is to identify athletes who will represent Canada at the ISF Senior Women’s World Championship in Haarlem, Netherlands from August 15-24, 2014.

The Senior Women's National Team Identification Camp will begin Wednesday, June 25th at Cloverdale Athletic Park and is only open to players who have REGISTERED for the camp. In case of inclement weather, there will be an alternate indoor venue for fitness testing.

Players are divided into two groups, with the first group arriving at 9:30am and conducting fitness testing from 10:00am to 11:30am. The second group will arrive at 11:00am and will conduct fitness testing from 11:30am to 1:00pm. The afternoon session will include baserunning, drills and positional testing for both groups.

The second day of camp will feature batting practice from 9:30am to 10:45am followed by intersquad games from 11:30pm to 4:15pm. The coaching staff will then determine if any cuts will be made or not.

The third and fourth days of camp will be comprised of small group work, intersquad games and/or situational games. The camp will wrap up on Saturday evening.
