2014 Canadian Home Run Sports Border Battle Selection Camp

  slopitchlogo.jpg(Ottawa, ON) Softball Canada will be holding its Men’s Slo-Pitch Border Battle selection camp this weekend (May 22-24) with the invited athletes competing in a few exhibition and intersquad games in Southern Ontario.
 
In February, Softball Canada announced the list of thirty-two (32) athletes who were invited to attend the selection camp to compete for a spot on the final rosters of the Team Canada and Team Canada Selects Men’s Slo-Pitch teams. Both teams will play in a series of exhibition games July 24-26 against Team USA and the USA Futures leading up to the Home Run Sports Border Battle between Team Canada and Team USA on July 26 in Kitchener, ON.
 
The invited athletes and coaching staff will arrive at Peter Hallman Ball Yard in Kitchener, ON for training on Thursday, May 22nd from noon until 4:00pm and will then travel to Guelph, ON and play its first red/white exhibition game at 7:30pm at the Guelph Lakes Sports Fields, presented by the Guelph Township Coed Slo-Pitch League and the Royal City Men’s Slo-Pitch League, in conjunction with Slo-Pitch Ontario and Softball Canada. Admission to the game is FREE!
 
The team will then return to Kitchener, ON for training from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Friday, May 23rd before travelling to Dorchester, ON for an exhibition game at 7:00pm against the London All-Stars, followed by another red/white exhibition game at 8:30pm. The following night (May 24), the team will play Slo-Pitch Ontario’s Miken Super Series All-Stars at 7:00pm followed by another red/white exhibition game at 8:30pm. All four games in Dorchester will be played at Slo-Pitch City.
