2014 ISF Junior Men's World Championship

Event runs 11 July, 2014 — 20 July, 2014

(Whitehorse, YT) The Canadian Junior Men’s National Team finished seventh at the ISF X Junior Men’s World Softball Championship, defeating Singapore 11-1 but dropping an 8-7 decision to Mexico.
At the previous ISF Junior Men’s World Championship held in Parana, Argentina in 2012, the host team from Argentina won South America’s first-ever gold medal at the event, while Japan earned silver and Australia took bronze. Canada finished fourth, falling just out of the medal round for the first time since 1981. The last time this event was held in Whitehorse (2008), Team Canada defeated Japan 4-3 to advance to the Gold medal game, and later suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 loss in eight innings against Australia to earn the Silver medal.
