KFC World Cup of Softball

(Oklahoma City, OK) – The Canadian Senior Women’s National Team, fresh off a second-place finish at the Canada Cup, will open their KFC World Cup of Softball 4 schedule against Italy on Thursday, July 4th (9:00pm, CDT). The event will take place from July 16th to 20th in Oklahoma City, OK, where Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and the United States will compete. Also featured during the KFC World Cup of Softball will be the Men’s Slo-Pitch Border Battle game, which will consist of a one-game showdown between Canada and the United States. That game is scheduled for 3:00pm CDT on July 18th at Hall of Fame Stadium, immediately following the women’s Fast-Pitch game between Canada and the United States, where both teams will be wearing some pink to support breast cancer research.

Japan (1st), the United States (2nd), Australia (3rd), Canada (4th) and the Netherlands (8th) all competed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
