New Brunswick`s spectacular riverfront capital of Fredericton awaits both participants and spectators to the Pepsi 2011 U-19 Men`s Canadian Fast Pitch Championships.

Fredericton`s vibrant culture is on display at top-notch art galleries, heritage museums, historic districts, concerts, and theatre. Help inspect the Guard in the Historic Garrison District. Explore the majestic St. John River by canoe or kayak. Make your way along 85kms of riverfront trails on a bike rented from the Lighthouse on the Green. Play a round of golf on one of our world-class golf courses or enjoy a day at a local spa, then play hard at night with live bands in the Tannery Entertainment District. Don`t forget to visit the W.W. Boyce Farmer`s Market held every Saturday morning from 6am til 1pm in downtown Fredericton.

There`s lots of fun for families too, including cool hands-on experiences at Science East, New Brunswick`s only Science Centre or a day at the beach at Killarney Lake or Mactaquac Provincial Park. While you`re here, check out our beautiful campus "on the hill" shared by the University of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University, two of Canada`s leading post-secondary institutions.

An hour away lies the spectacular Bay of Fundy. With it`s wonderful whales, the world`s highest tides, authentic island life and amazing sea shore adventures, it`ll be worth a trip to spend some time visiting one of the finalists in the international New7Wonders of Nature campaign.

We hope you are able to plan your visit to enjoy some time in our beautiful city and province. Make yourself at home, relax and soak up the down home Maritime hospitality. For more information check out Tourism Fredericton and Tourism New Brunswick.
