Game C9 of the 2011 Senior Mens Fastball Championships featured Kitchener [8th] vs Quebec [2nd] with Kitchener winning the game 12-2.
Todd Martin got the win for Kitchener going 5 innings giving up 5 hits, 1 run and 8 strikeouts. Andrew Phibbs relieved Martin going 2 innings gave up 2 hits, 1 run and 3 strikeouts. Greg Garrity took the loss for Quebec going 3 innings ave up 5 hits 6 runs and 1 strikeout. Darren Zack relieved him going 4 innings gave up 9 hits 6 runs and 3 strikeouts.
Rob O'Brien, Allan Phibbs, Pat Graham, and Andy Jackson all had 2 hits each. Dale Levy had 3 RBI aswell for Kitchener. Mathieu Roy continued his great week at the plate going 4-4 with a homerun and 2RBI for Quebec in the losing effort.
The win now moves Kitchener to the championship game where they face the undefeated Newfoundland team at 3pm today. The loss gives Quebec the bronze medal which is their first medal in Senior Mens history.
