Game 19 of the 2011 Senior Mens Fastball Championships featured Newfoundland [4-0] vs Owen Sound Selects [2-3] with Newfoundland winning 8-0.

 

Sean Whitten recorded his thrid win of the tournament going 7 inning and giving up only 1 hit which was a single to Brad Robinson of Owen Sound. Andy Skelton took the loss for Owen Sound going 5 innings giving up 5 hits 6 runs and struck out 4.

 

Ryan Boland capped off the 1st inning with a 2 run homerun to center field which gave Newfoundland a 4 -0 lead. Jason Hill had 2 hits and 3 RBIs in the victory for Newfoundland.

 

With the victory Newfoundland remains undefeated at 5-0 and will play a huge game tonight versus the 4-1 team from BC. The loss moves Owen Sound to 2-3 and they will also play a big game tonight at 6:30 vs the Port Elgin Blue Devils.
