Port Elgin holds off Kitchener with a 5-3 victory

Game 15 of the 2011 Senior Mens Fastball Championships featured Port Elgin Blue Devils versus Kitchener Hallman Twins with the Blue Devils winning the game 5-3.
 
Scott Smith got the victory for the Port Elgin Blue Devils. Smith went 4 innings gave up 5 hits and 3 runs while striking out 7 Winhsip went 3 innings gave up 3 hits and struck out 3 in relief. Andrew Phibbs took the loss going 4.1 innings gave up 4 hits, 4 runs and struck out 1.
 
Mike Reiley gave the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead in the 2nd inning with a two run homer. Pat Graham answered for Kitchener in he fourth tieing the game at 2 with a two run double. Matt Reinhart then smashed a two run single to give Port Elgin the 4-2 lead and they did not look back.
 
With the win Port Elgin moves back to .500 with a 2-2 record they now play tomorrow at 6:30pm versus Owen Sound. Kitchener falls to 0-4 and will now play tomorrow at 4pm versus the team from British Colombia.
