Game 3 of the 2011 Senior Mens Fastball Championships featured the Kitchener Twins vs Team Newfoundland with Newfoundland getting the victory by a score of 7-1.
 
Sean Whitten went the distance for the win giving up 3 hits 1 run and striking out 12 batters. Andrew Phibbs took the loss for the Twins going 6 innings giving up 8 hits 7 runs only 4 earned runs and he struck out 5 batters.
 
Kitchener got on the board first with a Allan Phibbs solo homerun in the 2nd inning. Then it was all Newfoundland with of course the long ball which has been a story so far today with 10 total going out of the yard so far in 3 games. Stephen Mullaley hit a 2 run homerun in the 3rd, Justin Gill hit a 3 run homerun in the 4th, and Ian Ferhman hit a solo shot in the 5th.
 
The win moves Newfoundland to 1-0 and they will now play tomorrow at 10am vs PEI. The Kitchener Hallman Twins fall to 0-2 early in the tournament with the loss and will now play tomorrow at 8:30pm vs the host Owen Sound Verge Selects.
