PEI is hot at the right time.

Game 27 of the 2011 Senior Mens Fastball Championships featured PEI [1-5] vs Port Elgin [3-3] with PEI winning 12-2 in 5 innings.
 
Mitch Hardy got the win for PEi as he went 5 innings gave up 2 hits 2 runs and struck out 8 batters. Shawn Winship went 4 innings gave up 9 hits 7 runs and struck out 4 in a losing effort.
 
Chris Craig and Mark Johnson both hit grand slams for PEI who's bats are peaking at a perfect time going into the playoff round on Saturday. The addition of Jeff Ellsworth today also adds some fire power for PEI. Shawn Detzler had a homerun and 2 rbi in the losing effort for Port Elgin.
 
The win gives PEI a 2 -5 final record and they will now play Saturday at some point. The loss gives Port Elgin a 2-3 record and they will need some help to get in the double life game on Friday.
