New Brunswick hangs on for 3-2 win over PEI

Game 13 of the 2011 Senior Mens Fastball Championships featured New Brunswick versus PEI with New Brunswick winning 3-2.
 
Justin Scholfield earned the win going 6.2 innings giving up 3 hits 2 runs and struck out 9 batters. Brian Newton came in the game with 2 outs in the 7th when Mark Johnson ripped a hit down 3rd base line which scored one run but the tieing run was gunned down at the plate securing the win for New Brunswick. Mitch Hardy took the loss for PEI going 5.1 innings gave up 3 hits 2 runs and struck out 8.
 
Rene Goguen kept the homerun streak going when he went deep in the 6th inning for New Brunswick. Mark Johnson continues to hit the ball well going 2-3 with a RBI for PEI.
 
New Brunswick gets thier first win of the tournament improving to 1-2 and will play the host Owen Sound Selects at 8:30 pm tonight. With the loss PEI falls to 0-4 on the tournament and will play tomorrow at 12pm when they play 3-1 BC.
