Game 12 of the 2011 Senior Mens Fastball Championships featured the team from British Colombia versus Owen Sound Verge Selects with BC rolling to a 8-2 win.

 

Jeff Farion picked up the win for BC going 6 strong innings giving up 5 hits 2 runs and struck out 7. Tyson Barkman worked a scoreless 7th to ensure victory for the 3-1 British Colombia team. Jamie Simpson started for Owen Sound and went 4 innings giving up 4 hits 5 runs and struck out 1 in a losing effort. Luke Leahy relieved Simpson going 3 innings allowing 4 hits and 3 runs.

 

Trever Johnstone continued his strong tournament going 2-4 at the plate including a 2 run homerun in the 3rd inning. Kris Walushka garunteed the victory with a 3 run blast in the 7th inning. Andrew Scott was perfect at the plate going 2-2 in the game, Ben Wideman hit his 3rd homer of the tourney with a solo shot in the 5th.

 

The win puts BC at 3-1 and they will now play agian tomorrow at 12 versus PEI. The loss was Owen Sound`s first of the tournament, they are now 2-1 and will play agian tonight at 8:30pm against New Brunswick.
